Solar Oracle Walkman

This is an experiment in how DIY solar panels can develop unique identities at the semiconductor level. To make the result more intuitive for people without a scientific background, the identity of each handmade solar cell—its I–V curve—is translated into unique generative music. We are also building a mobile Walkman version of this system. Ultimately, the experiment asks how independent, distributed green certificates and energy trading might become possible—and I believe it is also connected to future open compute systems.
